VTOL Aircraft Training

Aircraft-specific training / Sky Robots

Sky Robots delivers aircraft-specific conversion and OEM training for the SRV32 G3 Fixed-Wing VTOL Drone. Prepare to use the aircraft, Mission Planner and the delivered ground system through structured ground study, simulation and supervised aircraft operation.

Delivered by Sky Robots, the original equipment manufacturer. Regulated pilot qualifications and ratings are delivered separately by Aerial Works ATO.

SRV32 G3 VTOL Conversion and OEM Training

Sky Robots delivers aircraft-specific familiarisation and conversion for the SRV32 G3 Fixed-Wing VTOL Drone. Pilots work with the aircraft, Mission Planner, ground equipment and procedures supplied with their system.

SRV32 G3 VTOL Conversion and OEM Training: course details

Who this course is for

Pilots holding an RPC with BVLOS and fixed-wing ratings who are converting to the SRV32 G3. Technical personnel can enquire separately about aircraft and maintenance familiarisation within the supplied support scope.

Principal subjects

  • Flight authority, pilot responsibility, aircraft familiarisation and the approved camera or balance configuration.
  • Mission Planner, communication links, command authority and verification of aircraft state.
  • Battery management, recovery planning, weather assessment and operational risk.
  • Terrain-referenced mission planning, aircraft mission readback, pre-flight inspection and crew coordination.
  • Normal mission simulation and abnormal-event decision-making.
  • Automated VTOL departure and landing, transition monitoring and fixed-wing flight.
  • Operational missions, camera-operator coordination, post-flight records and maintenance/defect familiarisation.

Practical training

The fourteen-module G3 syllabus progresses from ground preparation and Mission Planner simulation to supervised automated departures, transitions, operational missions and recovery. Normal and emergency decisions are practised in simulation or tabletop exercises within the model's limitations. Live training covers normal aircraft operation with a camera operator; faults are not deliberately introduced in live flight.

Assessment and progression

Completion requires the module knowledge and practical assessments plus an individually assessed normal mission. Each pilot must demonstrate competence; attendance or a group demonstration is not a pass. The course records company conversion competence. OEM training does not issue an RPC or replace an ATO rating or operational approval.

Expected learning outcomes

  • Prepare the aircraft, crew and Mission Planner mission using the approved checks and readback.
  • Command and monitor an automated G3 mission, recognise its flight phases and manage recovery.
  • Explain battery, emergency and maintenance considerations, complete the records and report defects with supporting evidence.
